Wightman & Parrish

DID YOU KNOW THAT WIGHTMAN & PARRISH ARE A MEMBER OF THE CLEANING AND HYGIENE SUPPLIERS ASSOCIATION (CHSA)?

Wightman & Parrish has been a member of the Cleaning and Hygiene Suppliers Association (CHSA) since 1970, back when it was called Janitorial Suppliers Association (JANSA), and we thought it was about time we explained why this is important and the benefits this has to us, and our customers.

The CHSA are an association, committed to maintaining standards in the cleaning and hygiene sector.

Our membership of the CHSA Accreditation Scheme for Distributors means we have committed to stock and offer for sale CHSA Accredited products or products that conform to the Standards set by the relevant CHSA Manufacturing Standards Accreditation Scheme.

Our membership is confirmed by the CHSA’s independent inspector, which means our customers can be certain “what’s on the box is what’s in the box”.  As a member of Nationwide, we are covered by the bi-annual audits of the network.

Stocking soft tissue and plastics refuse sacks, at Wightman & Parrish, the standards set by the CHSA’s Manufacturing Standards Accreditation Schemes for Soft Tissue and for Plastic Refuse Sacks are particularly relevant.  The independent inspector checks label compliance: the label must indicate the dimensions of the product inside, the manufacturer and be traceable to the batch.  He then checks the content of the box to make sure “what’s on the box is what’s in the box”.  This ensures complete transparency.

Specified sacks within the CHSA’s Manufacturing Standards Accreditation Scheme for Plastic Sacks are also guaranteed as fit for purpose.  The independent inspector assesses this using the British Standards Institute’s Drop Test.

Adhering to CHSA standards is just one of the ways we at Wightman & Parrish can ensure we are providing our clients with a truly excellent customer service.  Our membership keeps us informed of the latest industry news and trends.  It also helps us give something back via the CHSA Undergraduate Bursary Scheme and the funds raised each year for the Chairman’s charity, all made possible by the generosity of members.
