We are proud to share wonderful news that the LifeVac Airway Clearance Device (ACD) has now saved over 200 lives in a choking emergency when all other choking rescue methods have failed.
LifeVac Europe have worked very closely with the UK care sector, equipping and training 1000’s of care and nursing home providers across the UK from small independent providers to the largest provider in the UK, HC-One.
They have helped save lives of people who have been sitting (wheelchair users), standing, and laying down. These choking incidences have been full and partial airway obstructions, from medication, sputum and yogurt to meat. Helping drastically reduce one of the leading causes of accidental death in adults over the age of 65, choking.
LifeVac have been working with Wightman and Parrish for a number of years, who have been helping to raise awareness of choking, choking prevention and to save lives.
LifeVac is a non-invasive portable airway clearance device, scientifically proven to be the worlds safest, most effective and easiest to use ACD. This has been proven by the backing of multiple peer reviewed medical publications covering lives saved, independent testing, safety, effectiveness, ease of use and comparisons to other invasive ACD’s.
Being non-invasive means there are no tubes that risk pushing the tongue back, obstruction further down or oral damage in a panic situation. This also means no tubes can become blocked rendering the device useless if only part of the obstruction has been removed.
